Ingredients
1-2 onions, cut into quarters
3-5 cardamom seeds
3-5 mastic grains
1 chicken
1/2 cup rice or crushed vermicelli
salt and pepper

Directions
Boil 3 cups of water with onions and spices tied in muslin bag. Lower chicken into boiling water, season, and reduce heat. When tender, remove the chicken, discard bag, and mash onion. Add rice or vermicelli and cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
